USDA is introducing a new round of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP 2). CFAP 2 provides direct support for producers who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic since April 2020.
According to the USDA, CFAP 2 has been adapted to better meet the needs of impacted farmers and ranchers of non-specialty and specialty crops, livestock, dairy, eggs, aquaculture, and nursery crops and cut flowers.
During a special webinar to be hosted on Thu, Sep 24, 2020 3:00 PM EDT, growers will be informed about expanded eligibility for certain commodities, new payment categories including a sales-based approach to specialty crops and other specific commodities, and information on how to apply.
Producers can apply for CFAP 2 between September 21, 2020 through December 11, 2020. Find more information at https://www.farmers.gov.
