US spud exports break record

The U.S. potato industry has set a record for a second consecutive marketing year for the value of its foreign exports, according to recently released numbers. The value of all classes of U.S. potato exports, at nearly $1.756 billion, was up 7 percent in the marketing year that ended in June 2014, according to USDA Global Trade Atlas statistics.
