German potato harvest 2014 surpasses long-term average by more than 5%

This year’s potato harvest in Germany has turned out larger than average, German website Fruchthandel.de reports. The 2014 potato harvest reportedly amounts to nearly 11.5 million tonnes; 18.8% more than last year’s lacklustre result. With that, the long-term average is surpassed by 5.4%. More
