German investor expected to build new potato processing plant in Tula region of Russia

According to information published on the FreshPlaza.com web site, the new factory will reportedly be specializing in the production of potato crisps. All raw materials for processing will be purchased from local producers of vegetables. Thus, the area for potato cultivation in the region will reportedly be increased with up to 1,000 hectares. Besides this, three farming operations are to start with the production of seed potatoes in 2015. At the end of October, German experts are expected to arrive in Tula to visit the industrial areas in several districts of the region.
