UK: Farmers join forces with turkey producers to create festive crisps

Potato farmers have teamed up with turkey producers to create a locally-grown and produced festive flavour crisp. Fairfields Farm Crisps, made by potato farmers Robert and Laura Strathern at Wormingford, near Colchester, has joined forces with Danbury-based Kelly Bronze turkeys, run by Paul Kelly, to create a new flavour to add to its range – turkey, sage and onion. Produced on the family farm, the new crisps use only potatoes that are dug, chopped, cooked and packed on site to ensure the best taste and the lowest possible food miles. Kelly Bronze is renowned for its high welfare premium festive birds.
