McDonald’s restaurants in Venezuela have begun offering a side of fried yuca after the U.S. fast-food chain ran out of French fries in that South American country. “There is currently a temporary issue with distribution, which we are trying to resolve,” said Sonia Ruseler, senior director for corporate communications at Arcos Dorados, which runs McDonald’s franchises in Latin America.
