Potato, dry bean, corn silage harvest under way in eastern Idaho

Potato harvest across eastern Idaho is well under way, according to Steve Hines, University of Idaho Extension educator in the eastern region of the state. “Potato harvest is 10-15 percent finished. All varieties of potatoes are being harvested in eastern Idaho,” Hines said. Weather for harvest in southeastern Idaho has been “very nice,” he added. For the first week of September the area was cooler with temps in the 80s, while the following week the temps were expected to reach the 90s by the weekend. More
