Wada Farms Potatoes Inc. plans to begin shipping its first full crop of organic potatoes in late October, using eco-friendly Tater Made bags for the certified organic reds, yellows and russets. The Idaho grower-shipper has a “few hundred acres” of organic potatoes this season, with plans to double that next year, said Kevin Stanger, senior vice president of sales. “We’ve seen growth and demand that our customers have been experiencing,” Stanger said Oct. 8. “So we have a pretty aggressive growth plan for this line.” This year’s crop of Wada organic potatoes is already spoken for, Stanger said. More
