Meet the fruit crisp maker taking on the potato chip

The potato crisp, one of the nation’s favourite snacks, has a new fruity rival, which has been sanctioned by the Department for Health. A start-up has found a way of air-drying slices of fruit into crunchy snacks, with no additives or preservatives. One serving of Nim’s Fruit Crisps packs just 52 calories compared to 171 for an average bag of ready salted potato chips. Launched in 2010 by former cafe owner Nimisha Raja, Nim’s Fruit Crisps is hoping to compete with brands such as Walkers and Golden Wonder on supermarket shelves. More
