Chinese company to start Lorain Fries production

TaiMei Potato Industry Ltd, a Chinese potato processor belonging to Lamb Weston, has signed an agreement with American Lorain Corporation, to produce the Lorain brand of French fries in China. Representatives for American Lorain Corporation, which produces frozen and convenience foods, said that last year they decided to diversify the categories of potato products available in their portfolio and to procure potatoes in China, labeled with the Lorain brand. Lamb Weston acquired TaiMei Potato in 2014 and the Chinese potato processor now has one of the most advanced production lines in the country, capable of producing 10 tons of fries per hour. Source: Potato Business
