Australia: WA potato growers disappointed with deregulation handling

The body representing Western Australia’s potato growers has blasted the Government’s handling of industry deregulation, saying it has been managed disastrously and caused significant confusion. The Potato Growers Association’s [PGA] comments come in the wake of the State Government’s announcement that the industry will be deregulated from July, with the Potato Marketing Corporation [PMC] abolished by the end of the year. More
