The causes of blemishes on potatoes are extremely varied and can lead to severe yield or economic losses, especially as consumers increasingly judge products on cosmetic presentation. Providing a detailed look at disease symptoms of potato and associated management strategies is a new educational presentation from the Plant Management Network (PMN) entitled “Blemishes of Table Potatoes: Common Biotic Causes,” now available as part of the Focus on Potato resource for growers, crop consultants, and extension agents.
