Blight hotline helps potato growers stay ahead of disease

The late blight hotlines will continue to be sponsored by Syngenta and Orondis Opti fungicide for the 2016 potato growing season. The hotlines help US farmers stay ahead of the disease with updates and recommendations from researchers with information about weather, disease pressures and scouting for five key potato-growing regions. Syngenta recognizes the impact the hotlines have had over the past several years. “The researchers that contribute updates to these hotlines have shared a great deal of knowledge and insight over the years,” Kiran Shetty, Syngenta technical development lead, said. “The hotlines are a great way for Syngenta to help make sure their expertise is readily available to the growers that need it.” More
