For the first time, Georgia’s potato cooperatives are coming together in a special forum to be held at the Marriott hotel in the capital Tbilisi on Friday, 17 June, organised under the EU-funded European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD). The event will act as a coordination platform giving potato cooperatives and stakeholders the opportunity to identify challenges in the sector and discuss possible solutions. ENPARD said the forum aimed to serve as a catalyst for increased cooperation among potato cooperatives, private sector actors and other stakeholders. Participants will also be introduced to the current and planned state programmes and initiatives for supporting the potato sector.
