Popular home improvement show “Ask This Old House,” which airs on PBS, included a 6-minute segment explaining the growing process behind Idaho potatoes and illuminating for viewers how Idaho potatoes differ from other states’ potatoes. “Ask This Old House” landscape contractor Roger Cook met with Idaho Potato Commissioner James Hoff in Idaho Falls to film the clip in October of 2015, to catch the end of Idaho’s harvest season, according to the release. “James’s deep knowledge of and passion for Idaho potatoes, paired with Roger’s enthusiasm and curiousity, created a very informative and entertaining segment,” said Frank Muir, president and CEO of the Idaho Potato Commission.
