China will review its anti-subsidy duties on potato starch imported from the EU, ahead of the expiry of these duties, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said Wednesday. The review was requested by the Association of Chinese starch industry, which is concerned that lifting the anti-subsidy duties will negatively affect Chinese starch producers. During the review period, which will begin on Friday and will probably last for a year, the current duries will still be in place. Potato starch imported from the EU is the subject of anti-subsidy import duties of between 7.5% and 12.4%. These were launched by the Ministry of Commerce in September 17, 2011. (Source: Xinhua)
