The Idaho Potato Commission has named its chairman and vice-chairman for the 2016-17 fiscal year. Ritchey Toevs of Toevs Farms is the new chairman of the Eagle-based commission, and Lynn Wilcox of Wilcox Fresh is the new vice-chairman, according to a news release. “While serving as commissioners for several years, both Ritchey and Lynn have proven themselves to be outstanding leaders and true advocates of the Idaho potato industry,” Frank Muir, the commission’s president and CEO, said in the release. “I look forward to working with them in the upcoming year and implementing our new marketing initiatives that are not only creative, but drive demand for Idaho potatoes.” Toevs and Wilcox are two of nine commissioners representing Idaho’s potato growers, shippers and processors. The other seven are: Dan Nakamura, Idahoan; Peggy Grover, Bench Mark Potato Co.; Tommy Brown, Lamb Weston; Mike Christensen, Christensen Farms; Nick Blanksma, Legacy Farms; Randy Hardy, Hardy Farms; and James Hoff, Hoff Farms.
