A bioplastics packaging development by chocolate snack group Mars in partnership with Rodenburg and Taghleef Industries has won this year’s Global Bioplastics Award. Netherlands-based Rodenburg developed a special grade of its Solanyl recipe consisting of waste starch from the potato processing industry and recycled PLA (production waste from sheet extrusion).
