Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Askar Myrzakhmetov on January 25 met with representatives of the Dutch company Farm Frites which plans to build a plant for production of frozen fried potatoes in the northeast of Kazakhstan, the official website of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reports. The project plans to build a plant with annual production capacity of 140 thousand tons of processed potatoes. The amount of investments is being discussed. The company Farm Frites is currently conducting a survey of a resource base of Pavlodar and Karaganda regions in the northeast of Kazakhstan for compliance with potato cultivation technology and availability of storage facilities, as well as the climatic conditions of the region.
