Kazakhstan to build potato processing plant with 140K ton capacity

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Askar Myrzakhmetov, met with representatives of the Dutch company Farm Frites on January 25 to discuss their plans to build a plant for the production of frozen fried potatoes in the northeast of Kazakhstan, the official website of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported. The project plans to build a plant with an annual production capacity of 140 thousand tons of processed potatoes. The amount of investment is being discussed. They discussed issues of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as the preparation for the third session of the Kazakh-Dutch Business Council to be held in Astana this June. More
