Since 2011, the Austrian specialist equipment manufacturer Insort has been developing sorting machines for various foods such as potatoes, berries, almonds and nuts. These sorters recognize foreign materials using Insort’s Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT®) and remove it from the product flow at high speed. The equipment is used by well-known food processors around the globe.
Next week, Insort will present its next generation equipment, the Sherlock Hybrid during the Interpom | Primeurs 2018 event, which will take place starting November 25 in Kortrijk (Belgium).
This machine is the first end-of-the-line sorting machine from Insort for frozen french fries. It offers a previously unaccomplished level of assurance that all foreign materials are removed.
The Sherlock Hybrid combines Insort’s Chemical Imaging Technology (CIT®) with high definition RGB camera technology. The completely newly developed software platform allows for the merging of data from multiple sensors.
