French potato growers' union says quotas for the 2020 harvest contracts not met

At the end of 2019, the National Union of Potato Producers in France (UNPT) had warned that the 2020 potato contracts should take into account the explosion of production costs, the risks and the necessary valuation of the work of potato producers under the provisions of the EGAlim law.

Based on the first contract offers received by the producers at the beginning of this year, and even if a number of contracted volumes are already committed, UNPT claims that the quotas are not met.
