Elea to unveil its latest food technology at ANUGA FOODTEC 2024 event

The ANUGA FOODTEC event in Cologne, Germany is a pivotal gathering for innovators in the global food and beverage industry. This year, from March 19 to 22, 2024, the event is set to host a congregation of industry leaders and visionaries, with Elea poised to showcase its latest technology.

Renowned for its pioneering spirit in food technology, Elea will showcase its cutting-edge Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) systems at the expo. One highlight of their exhibit is the PEFPilot Dual system, designed to demonstrate the transformative effects of PEF on various products live at the event.

What makes Elea’s participation especially noteworthy is the unveiling of their all-in-one, industrial-scale system, the PEF Advantage B1. Tailored for efficiency, this compact system integrates seamlessly into production lines. Its design is optimized for potato chips and fruit drying processes, as well as smaller French fries lines, supporting capacities up to 7.5 tons per hour.

The essence of Elea’s technology lies in its ability to enhance product quality and yield while cutting down on processing costs and energy consumption. Products treated with PEF not only retain their color and shape better during drying but also exhibit improved cutting properties and reduced breakage. Furthermore, PEF-treated products require significantly less blanching time and temperature, alongside shortened drying periods, thus preserving quality and nutritional value.

Visitors to the ANUGA FOODTEC event are invited to experience this technological marvel firsthand at Elea’s booth, located in hall 10.1, at booth numbers B-68 and C-69. Elea’s expert team will be on hand to demonstrate the myriad benefits of their PEF technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of PEF-treated products, including freeze-dried samples, orange juice, and an assortment of potato and vegetable chips.
