FAM STUMABO, a leading manufacturer of industrial cutting solutions, has unveiled its latest innovation, the SureTec 240P—a versatile, high-capacity cutter specifically designed for potato processing. The “P” in its name highlights its specialization in handling potatoes, making it an ideal choice for producing precise French fries and diced potatoes.
Revolutionizing Cutting Accuracy with the SureCut Unit
At the core of the SureTec 240P is the innovative SureCut Unit (SCU). This unique concept allows cutting components to be pre-assembled into a single unit with a preset cut size. The SCU enables even non-technical operators to install the cutting tools swiftly and without errors. This design ensures cutting accuracy from the very start of production runs, maximizing uptime and efficiency.
The machine also features a slipper clutch and slip detection system. These additions prevent costly downtimes and protect the equipment from damage caused by foreign objects. Furthermore, a hinged electrical cabinet provides quick access to the drive area, facilitating easier maintenance and troubleshooting.
Versatility in Potato Processing Applications
The SureTec 240P is engineered to process both white and sweet potatoes, whether they are abrasive or steam-peeled. It offers a wide array of cutting options, including French fries, small sticks, and diced potatoes. Available cut styles encompass crinkle, deep crinkle, and flat cuts.
A key feature is its 240 mm wide drum, essential for cutting long potatoes at full length. The machine comes with various impellers equipped with different numbers of paddles to accommodate different product sizes and ensure proper alignment. This results in clean, accurate cuts with maximized length and minimized breakage and feathering.
Debut at Interpom 2024
FAM STUMABO will showcase the SureTec 240P at Interpom, an international trade fair for the potato sector, taking place from November 24 to 26, 2024, in Kortrijk, Belgium. Attendees can visit the company’s booth in Hall 1, Booth 199, to see the machine in action and learn more about its advanced features.
