A farmer is hoping to distract Russia from invading Ukraine – by sending over Scotland’s first potato vodka. Graeme Jarron is building a micro-distillery on the farm his family have run for a century at Milton of Ogilvie, near Forfar. And, with the help of experts from Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University, he hopes to produce his tattie vodka in June. He said: “We will be the first to produce the spirit commercially from potatoes. Just through word of mouth we have already received inquiries from Europe and the US.”
