Consumers are looking for potatoes which taste good, and growers need to supply more of them. But identifying what the market wants is not always straightforward, visitors heard. Solana sales manager Karsten Grimm said: “We need to discover what the consumer really wants, We did some trials and were amazed everyone told us what they did not want, but they found it really difficult to tell us what the market is really looking for.
