This makes it the sixth most valuable brand in the world. Given the company’s immense reach, it is easy to believe that there is only one place in the entire U.S. that is more than 100 miles from a McDonald’s; a plain in South Dakota. Perhaps because of its 150 percent turnover rate, McDonald’s hires about 1 million workers each year. This makes it the fourth largest employer in the world and the second largest private employer.
