US: McDonald’s tries out sweet potato fries

In its latest effort to re-energise the declining fast-food chain, McDonald’s is taking the bold step of reinventing the humble french fry. The Golden Arches are starting to serve sweet potato fries in conjunction with the Create Your Taste burger initiative. Then – at a few point on the futuristic horizon – sweet potato fries will be a regular feature of our burger-loving lives. Now McDonald’s is giving the fries a shot in Texas. The company introduced an all-day breakfast menu earlier this month. Source: OR-POLITICS.COM
