Following a presentation on the Idaho Potato Commission’s budget, lawmakers asked IPC President and CEO Frank Muir several questions about the big Idaho potato truck. The IPC’s big potato truck campaign, which brings an iconic Idaho post card to life, was launched in 2012 and features a semi truck hauling an enormous potato around the country. “I’d like to hear what your plan is for the truck. I’m hoping that this is going to be an ongoing program,” Rep. Paul Romrell, a retired farmer from St. Anthony, told Muir following his annual update on the commission’s budget.
