International Potato Center publishes 2015 report

The International Potato Center (CIP) has published its annual report for 2015. According to Barbara H. Wells, Director General of the CIP, 2015 saw an alignment between the goals of the organisation with the United Nations General Assembly’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). The annual report tells the story of CIP’s alignment with the SDGs and the impact they have had so far. Dr. Rodney Cooke, Chair, Board of Trustees: “The Agile Potato for Asia Program is dedicated to coping with the impact on the poor of climate change coupled with high population density and land degradation. Significant inroads have been made in developing fast-maturing disease resistant varieties that provide flexible planting and harvesting times without putting undue pressure on dwindling land and water resources.” Read the report
