Faster emergence for rapid potato growth, chemical company in the UK says

Potato fast emergenceEffective control of soil borne pests can ensure potato crops get up and out of the ground faster, with benefits that last right through the season. Results of new trials, presented at Syngenta Potato Science Live events, have shown Nemathorin control of PCN enabled faster and more consistent crop canopy development, with benefits for weed suppression and greater photosynthetic activity delivering higher yields. Research by the SRUC, in Arbroath, showed an average 31% greater ground cover 64 days after planting with Nemathorin treated crops of Harmony and Maris Piper in a field with a known PCN population, including G. pallida at 34 eggs per gramme of soil. The SRUC trials repotedly showed that Nemathorin treatment produced an average 24 t/ha yield increase on the Maris Piper over untreated, and over 16 t/ha compared to fluopyram treatments. In the Harmony crop the yield increase was more than 20 t/ha over untreated and 14.5 t/ha compared to fluopyram. More
