USDA seeks grant applications for Potato Breeding Research program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture is seeking grant applications for its Potato Breeding Research program. The estimated amount to be distributed is $2,250,000, with awards ranging from $130,000 to $900,000.

Eligible entities include 1862 Land-Grant Institutions, 1890 Land-Grant Institutions and 1994 Land-Grant Institutions. In addition, the program is open to state agricultural experiment stations, land-grant colleges and universities, research foundations established by land-grant colleges and universities, colleges and universities receiving funds under the Act of October 10, 1962, as amended (16 USC 582a et seq.) and accredited schools or colleges of veterinary medicine.
