Black Gold Farms appoints non-family member to its Board

Black Gold Farms, and the Halverson family have announced the appointment of Doug Kling as a member to its Board of Directors to fulfill a new slot designated to a non-family member.

Kling will be joining the Board, which is currently comprised of Eric Halverson, CEO of Black Gold Farms, John Halverson, COO of Black Gold Farms, Leah Halverson CEO of Ten Acre Marketing/Marketing Director of Black Gold Farms, and Chairman of the Board, Gregg Halverson, along with Black Gold Farms’ CFO, Bob Hoffert.

Kling has a lifetime worth of experience, and is currently the President and CEO of Kling Strategic Partners LLC.

Eric Halverson commented, “Working with Doug while serving on the United Fresh Board of Directors really showed me that Doug is not afraid to challenge the status quo or speak up. This is exactly what we need as a family organization. Someone to push us and help us make the difficult decisions.”
