The leadership team at potato company Greenvale in the UK recently launched an online fund raising campaign for the benefit of the charity Grocery Aid. The Greenvale team aims to raise a total of £1,000.
Greenvale is a leading supplier of fresh potatoes and the UK’s largest suppliers of organic potatoes. Grocery Aid is a national charity that has been “providing emotional, practical and financial support for grocery people since 1857.”
On the fund raising website, Managing Director Andy Clarkson and his Greenvale team say:
Whilst we are all currently working from home, we felt it would be good to do our bit for charity in a “virtual challenge”. So we have agreed to add up all our daily exercise miles as a leadership team and aim to complete a Lands End to John O Groats challenge (874 miles or 1407km).
One of the charities that we support as a business is Grocery Aid, and what better charity to support in the current climate that them. Grocery Aid is a charity to helps people within the grocery industry that have fallen on hard times and need either financial support or emotional support and advice through their helplines.
Please help us out by supporting our cause, and in return, we will keep you in the loop on how far we have got, hopefully completing the task before end of the lock-down!
