Dear folks, I believe that as much as Caesar’s famous words “I came, I saw, I conquered” will most likely live on for many years and indeed millennia to come, the year 2020 will go down in recorded history as the year when humankind was first inflicted with “The Corona”. And may this be the last time… And may we not be conquered in the end, but overcome…
There is no doubt any longer that all of us have been affected in some way or another by this raging pandemic – some more so than others. There surely are those of you reading this post who either contracted the virus yourself the past year, or worse still – might have lost family, friends or other loved ones because of it. I am sure that I am joined by many others in the international potato community when I say in all honesty – quoting from the lyrics of the 1975 song by the Eagles‘ : “I wish you comfort in the lonely time, and arms to hold you when you ache inside…”
To all the loyal readers of Potato News Today: A big thank you for taking the time to follow the site – many of you for several years by now. Be assured that I do not take it for granted, and value it greatly each and every time you visit here.
