Turnover and pre-tax profits grew at a major supplier of potatoes to retail giant Marks & Spencer during its latest financial year. Lincolnshire-based Manor Fresh in the UK has reported a turnover of ÂŁ55.9m for the 12 months to 25 April 2020, up from ÂŁ54.3m, reports Jon Robinson, Senior Digital Staff Writer at Insider Media.
Pre-tax profits at Manor Fresh went from ÂŁ1.1m to ÂŁ1.5m over the same period.
A statement signed off by the board said: “The company continues to engage positively with existing customers to develop commercial sales through retail and wholesale sales channels across a broad fresh produce range. The positive impact of an increasing number of UK consumers favouring plant-based diets continues to underpin overall company performance. New business development opportunities continued to be progressed.”
