Greentronics is excited to announce that integration of its RightYield product with John Deere series GS3 and now also GS4 is available. Growers can learn more with a visit to their John Deere dealer and ask about the Yield Doc Specialty Crop package.
Integration with Trimble FMx and TMx displays available as well. Greentronics’ yield monitor transmits yield data to the JD and Trimble displays. Operators can view yield maps in real time and store data on these displays for convenient wireless transmission.

“Greentronics yield monitors are designed for root crop and vegetable harvesters,” says Bill Menkveld of Greentronics Ltd. “The system is built around one or more load cells which are installed in a conveyor to measure the weight of the crop as it passes on the belt.
“Once installed and calibrated, the harvester operator chooses the field name and sets the swath width. He does not need to interact with the yield monitor while harvesting.”
Growers use yield maps in combination with soil and fertility maps to study and manage variability in their fields and generate report cards on their progress. By applying break-even points, yield maps can indicate areas with profit and loss and help make decisions about inputs, population density, crop rotation, cover crops, and drainage.
Bill Menkveld points out that Greentronics offers RiteTrace, a complete geo-tracking solution customized for potato growers, allowing precise tracking of each load from where it was harvested to where it is stored.
