The annual meeting of the Potato Association of America (PAA) is scheduled to take place from July 23rd to 27th, 2023. PAA members, potato researchers and industry partners will gather in Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island.
“We look forward to welcoming the PAA family to Prince Edward Island for the first time since 1997. We are excited to showcase the advances that our growers and industry partners have been making in sustainable potato production and innovative technology in recent years”, the association says.
With its annual meeting, PAA wants to provide attendees with educational and networking opportunities, potato research updates, and presentations from industry representatives. Key activities are research presentations, information exchange, identification of professional contacts, and participation in association business meetings. Other highlights include the research, field, and industry tours the organisation offers before and after the meeting.
The association publishes the American Journal of Potato Research as a means of disseminating the latest information relating to potato science, including breeding and genetics, crop and storage management, marketing, processing, disease and pest control, and new variety releases.
