The North America Potato Storage Organization (NAPSO) is excited to announce its first in-person meeting, scheduled to take place during the Potato Association of America (PAA) Annual Conference. This milestone event is set for Tuesday, July 23, 2024, starting at 3 pm in the AC Portland Hotel, conveniently located near the Conference venue.
NAPSO, which aims to enhance potato storage practices across North America, is extending an open invitation to all interested parties. This meeting follows the organization’s successful Virtual Central Committee Meeting held in June and seeks to further build upon the foundation of NAPSO which was established during that initial gathering.
“The in-person meeting is a crucial step in our mission to improve the sustainability and profitability of the potato industry across the continent,” says Addie Waxman, one of the founders of NAPSO. “We welcome all stakeholders to join us in Portland as we work together to advance our goals for NAPSO and the potato storage community.”
The agenda for the meeting will focus on further developing NAPSO’s framework and solidifying its role as a leading organization dedicated to the potato storage sector. Attendees can expect insightful discussions and collaborative efforts aimed at driving innovation and excellence in potato storage practices.
For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be live-streamed via Microsoft Teams. Interested individuals can request a virtual attendance invitation by emailing NAPSO Communications Coordinator Emily Merk at contact@napso.info
“We look forward to engaging with industry professionals, researchers, and growers at this pivotal event,” added NAPSO co-founder, Bill Orr. “Together and as a collective, we can make significant strides in enhancing potato storage practises across the continent.”
