‘Short fries are healthier’

Eat short fries! That’s the outcome of studies reported on by German magazine ‘GEO’ in its September edition. Because in order to meet the currently very high demand for extra long fries, the soil has to be fertilized longer: the thick potatoes need more time to grow, overly exhausting the soil, German website Gabot.de reports.
