Big Idaho Potato Truck tour starts soon

The Big Idaho Potato Truck is back for it’s ninth annual tour with the same all-female Tater Team. Students at Rolling Hills Public Charter school in Eagle got to check out the giant potato Wednesday ahead of the tour.

From Boise, the truck and tater Team will travel around 35,000 miles and visit close to 100 cities over the next six months. During that time, the Tater Team will identify local charities to raise awareness and funds for.

“Everywhere this truck goes people are pulling out their cellphones taking pictures of it, selfies, videos, and they help promote Id aho potatoes,” said Frank Muir, president and CEO of the Idaho Potato Commission. “It also becomes part of their American experience with Idaho.”

You can track the potato on their website, as well as their Twitter and Instagram accounts.
