Tips and help for growers on promoting potatoes to the end consumer

AHDB says on its website that many British farmers have started selling potatoes directly to the customer in order to support their businesses.

If you are a potato grower and have a website or a Facebook page, you can promote the benefits of eating potatoes with ready-to-use graphics, videos and recipes that AHDB supplies.

AHDB provides a list of resources available that growers could use, including useful and sensible potato nutrition information for websites and social media, as well as applicable content from the Love Potatoes website.

The Potatoes: More than a bit on the side campaign has been hugely successful, with sales rising for the industry between 2015 – 2018 when it was most active. Across Facebook, Instagram and lovepotatoes.co.uk there have been millions of likes and shares of the exciting recipes created by top chefs that put the spud centre stage.
