Potato grower Michael Family Farms in the US informs consumers with new website

Michael Family Farms, Urbana, Ohio, launched a website showcasing its operation and Side Delights potato products. The website, www.MichaelFamilyFarms.com, gives consumers product details, nutritional information, recipe suggestions, on-farm food safety procedures and other information. according to a news release. Side Delights has a dedicated section so consumers can learn more about the line.

Fresh Solutions Network, San Francisco, invests in digital programs to support its growers. It created Side Delights as a national brand in 2014.

“During this time of social distancing, both digital connectivity and healthy eating have become increasingly important,” Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network, said in the release.

Growers in the Fresh Solutions Network have partnered on a Grown Where it Matters campaign to emphasize the regions where the potatoes are grown. It was launched in October.

Michael Family Farms will soon be using Kwik Lok tags on potato bags to invite consumers to check out a 360-degree farm video and farmer podcast supporting locally grown produce.

“With the launch of our new website, we provide a destination that benefits current and potential customers,” Kathy Sponheim-Michael, Michael Family Farms vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release.
