Michael Tait, Syngenta Technical Manager and Harry Fordham, Syngenta New Farming Technologies Lead present the 2020 Syngenta UK trials at Eurofins in this video, published on the SyngentaUK YouTube channel. Tait and Fordham report on blight fungicide activity and new application advice for the Syngenta 3D90 nozzle, delivering outstanding efficacy, along with 90% drift reduction.
A number of commonly used blight products were tested to see how they work throughout the 2020 season. A second trial was also done to look at farm scale application and how nozzle selection can be varied throughout the season.
“We are also looking at the benefits of adding a drift retardant to reavers,” says Fordham. “Throughout the blind spraying program we are looking at these two trials specifically because how you apply a product can be as important as the product selection itself.”
“In the intrinsic trial we’re looking to see whether we can show again the benefit of using Revis with a drift retardant. We also want to see how our products are performing relative to those of the competitors,” says Tait.
