Wada Farms anticipates more growth in organic potato market

Wada Farms, a family-owned provider of fresh potatoes, onions and sweet potatoes, has established long-standing partnerships across the U.S. and globally, writes Keith Loria in an article published by The Produce News. Organic products have been included in the Wada portfolio for nearly a decade.

Wada Farms recognizes that organics play an important role at today’s dinner table, and the company provides options that meets the consumer need for this growing produce segment.

“I think what makes Wada appealing is our ability to provide supply chain options to fulfill organic needs,” said Eric Beck, director of marketing for the Idaho Falls, ID-based company.

“Being able to provide logistical options that are economical and meet your organic merchandising goals is key to the bottom line. Customers can get not only their organics from Wada, but much of their conventional potato needs as well at the same time.”

“The organic consumer has more needs beyond just buying potatoes,” Beck said. “They are interested in the entire field-to-fork process and that is where Wada shines — being a fully vertically integrated company from start to finish.”
